The Ache

an ache,
trembles,
echoes through me and
into the cosmos
so far and wide
I can see out beyond space and time,
past a million blazing suns

Lost for eons
          questing for god and you

My soul waxes and wanes
recognizing the other
it explodes wider
shifting
but unable to release
the last breath that will ignite
the last death

Within deep chasms
embers  drift
smolder
wait
to consume all that is known

Lost  for eons
    questing for god and you

Only the farthest galaxies
on the outer edges of expansion
know my heart

A lone emission of love
has a faint tone
the other’s rhythm is a shadow
only seen because of the sun.
a strange energy
bombards my atmosphere
quiet earthquakes
disturb my ring of fire

lost for eons
questing for god and you

a deep ocean of indifference
presses down
on a hidden fountain of passion
forgotten in separateness

when you seek me
my body vibrates
and the core begins to melt

your voice is like a
supernova exploding
into an array of colors I cannot name
they ripple through me
their rhythm is  an inferno raging

lost for eons
questing for god and you

a wicked land mass miles thick
hide the
ashes of so many paths burned
in vain
layers of illusion crumble

A dragon who only
knows fire
crosses
endless dimensions
swims from underneath
the primordial sea
the twin flame questing for me

the other illuminates
the now
the serpent uncoils its tied
secrets

the inner sphere is a
a wave breaking on the
sand saturated with eternity
my dream yearns for the
phoenix
to become vapor on the horizon

I am light
I am the cosmos,
the dragon, the flame,
the phoenix, the center
the nothing, the everything
I am dark,
I am every cell of light
in the sun

only when
you exhale
your sacred breath
does the ache cease
igniting
the beloved
the flame illuminating
eons
you
god

and I
am found.

Rapture's First Scar

Love implodes like an old star.
Space, being and particles of light
descend into the depths of time.

Born from a flame
a haunting pure desire
rises to consume all that you are.

The enigmatic union drowns your ego
and the rapture of the other
saves you from yourself.

A slow burn consumes
the fake and false pride
Mystery permeates,
gravity is the god between.

As the storm fades
and time begins again
the divine hunter is
betrayed,
altered,
lost,
found.

Sacred wind breathes against matter,
waves of radiant hunger break against
jagged desires.

Only a trickle of truth falls into her
Solitary spirit.
Splinters of bliss bury themselves inside
secret chasms of his soul.

Eros’ piercing arrow is marooned forever in the pulsing organ
Blood seeps into every avenue of their being
the scar of the first rapture
Is eternal.

The mind pushes, waiting for reasons
But the blissful ache sings a silent unending song

Passion crucifies
another willing zealous victim,

a torn soul resurrects
For first love never dies.

Sat Chit Ananda Being Consciousness Rapture

Now, I came to this idea of bliss because in Sanskrit, which is the great spiritual language of the world, there are three terms that represent the brink, the jumping-off place to the ocean of transcendence: sat-chit-ananda. The word "Sat" means being. "Chit" means consciousness. "Ananda" means bliss or rapture. I thought, "I don't know whether my consciousness is proper consciousness or not; I don't know whether what I know of my being is my proper being or not; but I do know where my rapture is. So let me hang on to rapture, and that will bring me both my consciousness and my being." I think it worked.

-- Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth, pp. 113, 120

Sat, Chit and Ananda are Sanskrit words that mean truth, consciousness, bliss. They are three ways to understand the absolute, Braham in Hindu Mythology. The great seers of the Hindu religion understood that these are limited words. They do not describe the real, they only point and guide you toward these experiences. Hindu Gods are all representations and limited idea of the absolute. When or if you decide to devote your life to the spiritual realm then these might be ways to experience the absolute.

Sat is understood as being pure or the truth of the individual existence. It is the part of you that comes from the source or absolute. It is not corrupted by the illusion of everyday existence. It is always present whether the individual knows it or not. It is beyond all names, forms or limitations of the physical and mental. It should not be a struggle or striving to become SAT- you already have it, but just need to let it come forth.

Chit is pure consciousness or transcendent consciousness. When the individual experiences this they are aware. To be aware of yourself is the first step. The second step is to be aware of each of characteristics. The more aware of your surroundings and inner realm the higher your consciousness becomes, i.e. you experience less drama and see things as they truly are.

Ananda is a state of bliss or joy. When you see or become more aware then you will enjoy more of everything. Bliss is experiencing a rapture in your work, being with another person, and in your art or creativity. It is not a superficial illusionary phase, but an inner understanding of what gives you joy. If you stop your attachment and mind what will happen is natural flow of joy that fills you up. It is your natural state because the absolute, Braham is Bliss.
